MY JOURNEY
In the year 2013 I started out as an accidental feminist at the age of 17 when I first mobilised my first protest with a couple of school friends by my side, we started a forum called meri skirt meri marzi a couple of months before Nirbhaya, which started the conversation of victim-blaming in the case of sexual assault.
AT PRESENT
LIVING AS A SCREENWRITER IN MUMBAI
At present, I am working as a screenwriter in Mumbai. My first feature film comes out this year while I work on a dozen more commissioned screenplays.
My current work is heavily driven by my time with my co-writer/best friend/roommate Ayushi Gupta. Going forward, I intend to capture the impact female friendship has on young artists like me. Dwelling on this further, I truly believe that an individual's contribution to any field of art is incomplete without forming a nurturing community around it that celebrates other contemporary artists as much as it celebrates the craft. Beyond my work as a creative writer in music and film, I have built a diverse career across content, finance, and entertainment, working as both a content writer and a senior executive. In recent years, I have worked in marketing and content in lifestyle, music, fashion, and now luxury curation.
